There was a major injury crash in Eastern Shasta County Thursday morning. It was on McArthur Road north of Fall River Mills just before 8AM. 85-year-old leland Knock was driving a 2014 Volkswagon northbound and crossed over the center line on a curve, according to the CHP. He drove into the path of a southbound 2003 Infinity driven by 21-year-old Maiya Beck. Her car became engulfed in flames. She was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Redding with major injuries. Knock was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The CHP says impairment was not a factor.
