Woman Who Sparked Fire During Red Flag Conditions Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison

A woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to starting an arson fire. 39-year-old Toni Hill halted her jury trial on its second day in November and decided to plead guilty to arson charges. Hill was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon in October of 2024 when she started a fire near the T/A Truck Stop on Knighton Road during Red Flag conditions. The fire forced the closure of Interstate 5 and threatened Pacheco School. Hill claimed it was an accident, and gave the arresting officer a false name.
