Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies made a huge drug bust Saturday night. At around 9:30PM a car was stopped for a violation on northbound Interstate 5, and it pulled over on the Cypress Avenue offramp. Deputies say they smelled Marijuana and driver, 31-year-old Steven Francisco Mejia of Los Angeles, was nervous and seemed to be under the influence. While he was given field sobriety tests, Kilo the K9 sniffed around the car and signaled that drugs were present. Deputies searched the car and reported finding 50 Pounds of Fentanyl pills and 4 Pounds of Cocaine. Mejia was booked into jail on $2 Million bail.
