Update: Power Expected To Be Restored On Sunday Following PSPS Event

More than 2,600 PG&E customers lost their electricity around 10:30AM Thursday morning in the Anderson/Cottonwood area, but it was not part of a planned Public Safety Power Shutoff. They were restored just before Noon, but later nearly 2,400 were shut off intentionally in other areas of Shasta County, including Jones Valley, Mountain Gate, Whiskeytown, Old Shasta and Igo/Ono. There are also more than 2,000 outages in Tehama County, 500 in Glenn County and many others to the south. Butte County was spared. Restoration is expected on Sunday. Blankets, snacks, water, ice, device charging and other services are available at Risen King Church on Oasis Road and the Happy Valley Community Center on Happy Valley Road. Updated information is at pge.com/pspsupdates.
